THIS IS IT
Wow. I can't believe that this is my last blog post for Ed 316. This is so bittersweet. I have never had a class that has made me this frustrated and happy at the same time. This class has pushed me to become a better educator and I am super grateful for that. it is really sad to be leaving this class because I really feel like this PLC that we have created was a strong one. I love my classmates and i don't want to say goodbye. However; it is time to move on and start my next step: Student Teaching. I just had the orientation meeting today for it and it really is starting to hit that I am almost finished with my time at GWU. We discusses the NCTCS, which funny story I was such a nerd because Dr. Parker asked if we knew what those were and if anyone had them. so I pulled the list I had on a note card out of my backpack hahaha! All of this to say, I have learned more than I thought I could from Ed 316 and I am really going to miss it.

Katie,
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to everything you are saying. It's a very accomplished feeling when you complete something that was challenging and frustrating yet that also pushed your learning (and teaching) to a whole new level. That was definitely this class. Best of luck as you student teach next semester!

Wow that's so exciting that you'll be student teaching next semester! I'm sure you'll do great and I'm glad you've learned so much about standards throughout this semester. Hope your summer is good and you gain confidence quickly in student teaching!
ReplyDeleteWay to stand up for the nerds, Katie!!!! Lol, you're going to be an amazing music teacher even though you've never heard of animusic before. But hey, it's cool, I forgive you! I'm going to miss you so much! I'm so glad I got to meet and become friends with you this semester. Who knows, I may even show up as a student in your music class one day next semester!!!
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that this semester is over already! I'm so glad that I got to know you this year! I think that we both are starting to realize that we actually did learn something from this class that we are going to use in our everyday life of teaching! But, anyways....you're going to make such an incredible teacher and good luck in student teaching :)
YAAAAAY KATIE!
ReplyDeleteWe made it. I'm so thankful for this class and for us getting to know each other better. You are going to be SO great in the classroom and I know you're going to rock Student Teaching. This PLC has been solid and I have relied on you *and you on me* a ton this semester! Without having you to reflect on what we have learned/and remind each other about what we had due-I don't think I would have made it, nor learned nearly as much as I did! Thanks for being such a great classmate and even better friend (cheesy).
I can't wait to hear all of your stories about ST next semester. Keep going strong this semester-finish your exams well!
